Description

This Syrian banknote, issued by the Central Bank, showcases a blend of cultural and artistic elements reflecting Syria's heritage. The design is rich in detail, featuring a prominent depiction of the famous statue of a historical figure holding a vessel, symbolizing fertility and prosperity. The note's primary color is green, complemented by intricate patterns and borders that enhance its visual appeal. Numerous security features, including microtext and a watermark of a horse's head, are embedded to prevent counterfeiting and ensure authenticity.

Obverse (front)
The front of the banknote prominently features the iconic statue, which is representative of Syrian history. The intricate ornamental design includes geometric patterns and floral motifs, mostly in shades of green and beige. In addition to the statue, the background shows a landscape with the depiction of a dam, emphasizing the importance of water resources in the region. Notable security features include a watermark that is discernible when held up to light, contributing to the note’s ability to prevent forgery.

Reverse (back)
The reverse side of the banknote features detailed illustrations and inscriptions in Arabic, adding cultural context. The design includes a stylized representation of a dam, symbolizing progress and infrastructure development in Syria. Additional security features like microprinting and a stylized numeric denomination reinforce the note's integrity. The overall color scheme continues to highlight greens and browns, providing a cohesive aesthetic that resonates with the country’s heritage.
