Mexico - 5 Pesos 1915 - Pick # S532 - UNC-

Description

The Cinco Pesos banknote from the Estado de Chihuahua, Mexico, offers a fascinating glimpse into early 20th-century currency design. The note prominently features two portraits of notable individuals, framed by intricate patterns and traditional motifs. The dominant pink hue is complemented by contrasting black details and red serial numbers, which enhance both its aesthetic appeal and security features.

Obverse (front)
The front of the Cinco Pesos banknote displays detailed illustrations of two historical figures, likely important political or military leaders from the region. The intricate border designs incorporate floral patterns and geometrical shapes along the edges. The note's color palette, with its dominant pink and black tones, is visually striking. Additionally, the serial number in red adds a layer of security, while the noticeable watermark and microprinting can be found in the design, indicating its authenticity.

Reverse (back)
The reverse side of the banknote continues the ornate design theme, featuring further decorative elements that reinforce the historical context. While it primarily mirrors the front in color scheme, any text, including the bank's name and various denominations, contributes to the overall coherence of the note. The background includes subtle gradations in color, enhancing the depth of the illustration. This side may also showcase other security features, such as a holographic image or hidden symbols, reinforcing its value against counterfeiting.
