Description

The 20 Kwanza banknote of Angola, issued by the Banco Nacional de Angola, is a visually striking piece of currency. This note features intricate designs and vibrant colors that reflect Angola's rich cultural heritage. The front showcases a portrait of a prominent figure, symbolizing the nation's history, alongside elements representing Angolan flora and patterns that ensure authenticity. Featured prominently is the denomination, '20', and the word 'SPECIMEN', indicating this particular note is not intended for circulation. The back reveals additional details including security features that prevent counterfeiting.

Obverse (front)
The front of the 20 Kwanza note is adorned with a detailed portrait of a man wearing spectacles and a hat, hinting at his significant role in Angolan history. Surrounding him are floral motifs and vibrant colors in shades of orange and red. The prominent '20' denomination appears within a circular design, complemented by embedded security features such as micro-printing and a protective watermark. The text 'BANCO NACIONAL DE ANGOLA' is displayed prominently, enhancing its legitimacy.

Reverse (back)
On the back of the note, additional ornamental patterns are present, echoing traditional Angolan art. There's an emphasis on color gradients that transition from peach to light green, which not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also serves as a security feature. While the markings are less detailed than the front, they include the full denomination again and elaborate patterns that are hard to replicate, showcasing the bank's dedication to anti-counterfeiting measures.

SPECIMEN: Demonstration banknote used by banks and printers, marked with "SPECIMEN." Never circulated, often in pristine condition, making it highly collectible.
